Pa soft cable work w inpa?

I am still trying to fix an issue with my adaptive lights. I am moving from pa soft to inpa based on my searches. Can I use the pa soft cable with inpa or do I need a different cable?

Thanks!

I have tried it before and it did not work.
However there may be a way to modify it but I just bought a whole new cable for INPA/NCS use.

I believe they are not interchangeable at all, unless you did some type of modification to the cable itself.

PA Soft/BMW Scanner cable is basically a dongle or converter of some sort, it will not work with anything other than PA Soft/BMW Scanner as far as I know.

Most of the other programs require basic USB to OBDII cables.

So i just looked at ebay and searched bmw inpa cable. There are a bunch for approx $20 that are k+can, but don't list e46 in the desc. Will these cables work or what exactly do i need?

I have the PA Soft cable and the INPA cable and they are quite different internally. But honestly, I have never tried to use one in place of the other.

Can someone with knowledge of both these adapters please chime in and answer this?

Those cables you found will work.
