Trunk release help

Got home this evening and the trunk release button had stopped working

Luckily the remote unlock got the thing open, and the key works too (at least it's not the lock mechanism).

Anyone have ideas on what to look for?

Thanks

is it in valet mode or are you using your valet key? your lucky, my actuator rod broke. Go to your trunk and turn the key latch the opposite way and try again, that might do the trick.

My Ride: Not a BMW for sure
you need to unlock all doors to unlock the truck with the button if the button is still working.
