-the wheels look awful
-I agree with Alex that the sunroof delete was about saving money
-Couldn't be less thrilled about beige, especially on black
-That painted trim makes the entire dash look awful to me.
-323 for that money?
-No xenons (easy to find on E46)

Granted they lowered the price but damn, you can just get SO much in some low mile E46's with many more options.
You missed the point entirely. This car isn't for you, or the average enthusiast.

The car has sport leather seats, sport steering wheel, DSC (optional), automatic HVAC, and it's a slicktop.
Granted, its still a 323i with no xenons and ugly beige, it's still far from the most barebones option available.

Ghost, my comments earlier were strictly about the topic of car being a "bare bones" not optioned ordered car. i'm Not on the other topic about car's value to someone (18 yrs later). maybe that's were the disconnect is.

on that topic still, with all the many optional items that can be ordered on a 323i, i can see like maybe one (ZSP). so no, i can not agree with your arguement that this is "far from the most barebones option available".

and those are leatherette(vinyl) seats. not the optional more expensive Leather interior.

sports stuff is mandatory on sports sedan/coupes. otherwise its barebones by definition

An e46 to me has to have:

factory xenon
sport seats, sports steering wheel, sports suspension/summer tires/wheels
manual trans
sunroof (this is a big one) -except m3 where no sunroof can actually contribute to motorsports

my current car has the cool boy parts that makes it worlds better vs the basic model:
sports lights (full led)
sports brake pads (factory high friction/high dust)
sports summer tires
sports seats
sports suspension

these kinds of cars definitely come alive with sports equipment.

And ZSP includes a plethora of upgrades, so if we looked at those options individually then the "number" of upgrades adds up.
But it's all semantics anyways.. who cares.

I've overhauled a real barebones 325i E46 in the past (think cloth seats), and this one isn't even close to being as basic as that.
Yes, it was Canadian spec so I still consider DSC an option, which no, it did not have.

Just from a quick glance:

- Rear bumper looks like it's sagging on the driver side
- Both front seat bolsters worn / driver side badly torn

Wow that passenger kidney (on the primary image no less) is an oopsie.

I don't see the rear bumper sag you do, but I'm not used to looking at coupe bumpers...

For the price and the mileage and the chance to be just a 2nd owner, I'd still be all over that if I was in the market.

Price is a little high, but not terrible given it’s a 330xi sedan fully loaded with manual.
