2003 330ci electrical

Driving along at 60 mph , and my wife tugged on her seat belt , to adjust it . All the warning lights came on , gauges stopped working ,clock cleared , and seat belt light lit up . this lasted 1 or 2 seconds and every thing came back on , although the seat belt light stayed on . The motor seemed fine I didn't notice any skip when this happened . The seat belt light went off when she unhooked and rehooked the belt . We where a few miles from home and I had her tug on the belt a number of times and it didn't react again . The car has 116000 miles and is well cared for , the interment panel controller was replaced about 8,000 miles ago . Anyone have any ideals ?

Start with the seat belt harness. Look for water intrusion, worn insulation and the usual suspects. Under the carpet too. Sounds like you have a short to ground somewhere.
