Hi everyone
My car is 2002 2.2 japan version
I'm chasing a specific problem and found my DME has been updated before.

All i want to know is if the version of software fits my vehicle or not. I don't wanna mess up with this.

You can use WinKFP to see if there is a newer version available.

Or, look it up in the MS43 version history.

The history is a daisy-chain from top going down. You find your current version in the left column, then take the version to its right and search again. Keep doing this until you don't find a newer version and that is the latest available.

The VIN indicates the car is a Euro version. Not sure if Japan versions are indicated as Euro or Japan?

Looks like realoem.com and bmwfans.info show 7545603 for the Assembly Number.

Thank you, will check...
Yes strange indeed, all sites indicate car like euro version but in listing there is a national japan version software for this. no idea how japanese are working with vins.
I have seen those and that's why i"m confused

BMW doesnt make V6 engines! You have an in-line 6 cylinder engine which has the M54B30 designation.

well, all i can say we call them v6 in my country (in our language/local slang) sorry , i should have been more carefull ppl like you are smart and correct others while making mistakes ... it is m54b22 btw. there is no m54b20 in 2002. so don't be smart plz i did not ask you to correct me i asked for help with dme.
If you are so clever tell me about dme software version.
Yas , officially v6 are engines with v shaped 6 cylinder, i knew this fro my childhood. it is just a slang like jeep/suv/crossover/land rover meny countryes use them differently.

Admin i want you to delete this thread, don't want to disscus my problem with ppl like this.
Sorry for being offensive, i already had enough headache with this car.
