Keep in mind that Behr (as an example) is a OEM mfr. There is a world of difference (no pun intended) between a OEM part produced in the EU VS: that of one made in China.
Then there's the intentional misinformation by type association. Many will show a Valve Cover gasket for the E46 as being OEM when it's from Elring. Yes Elring is an OEM for MANY E46 parts, however the VC Gasket for your car is made by Bruss or Mahle.
Not to be confused with Meyle.

Hence the reason I mostly just buy the Genuine BMW part. Some people assert that OEM is always the same as OE but that's just not the case.
