That is a lot of cash for a $30 part and a 20-30 min install. Even round it up, $60 for the part and a full hour. That's still only $180, I would be finding a new shop.

The throw was extremely short, and required a good bit of effort.

I wouldn't recommend it. I'll be swapping it out for an OEM lever with a sorter throw.

If yours is a 325i, then plug and play with a reflashed DME.
If a 323 or 328, a bit harder due to the mechanical throttle.
