No it replaces the BM54, you can get rid of it. Doubt it's the HK amp causing the issue, losing channels is something that BM54s love to do :facepalm:

If you have a business cd head unit you don't need it.

There should be a cable marked IBUS coming out of the avant 4. That plugs into the resler interface (the usb stick), which then plugs into one of the 3 USB ports (as you've said)

For a car that old, i wouldn't worry too much about historical MOT failures like the above, they all seem general wear and tear to me.



Then that's something you should pay close attention to....
