Ofhg is really not hard. You need ratchets, the right Allen socket for the tensioner, and patience for the alternator, but it is six screws. Get a terrible torque wrench for those.

The pulleys are definitely not lifetime. They spin like skateboard wheels after 125k or so. I say do belts and pulleys some time in the second century of ownership and don't overthink it.
