it could be leaking from multiple places. my wife's 2001 330ci had the same issues. large oil consumption due to oil leaks. replacing the ccv and related hoses seems to have stopped the leaks.

Has anyone used an aftermarket headlight ASSEMBLY replacement? And lived to tell the

Switched the headlight ballast back in 2016. At first the driver's side headlight would go out. After switching the ballast, then the passenger side started to go out.

I suppose this is indicative...

I used a screw from Home Depot

The old thermostat housing screws were corroded (2001 330ci). Replaced the screws in July 2017 and the car has been running fine since then.

Except for the damn headlights...which is another issue.

I got it running again today.

And I'm very pleased. Back in February, my wife's car (2001 330ci, manual transmission, 184K) overheated. The dealer gave a list of things to replace and repair. $5500 worth.

I decided to DIY it...
