i had to replace the tank in my car due to an unfortunate circumstance. it's an easy job. drop the exhaust and the drive shaft and pull the tank out..it's pretty self explanitory once you start...

i just fixed this exact problem in a customers...

i just fixed this exact problem in a customers car today. the entire ground pin in the connector was gone! it's about a 2 min fix.

Hmmm...i agree, but every time the transmission acts up, the light comes on, and this is what it is (odd i know) a restart and the problems goes away. the reflash of the trans software sounds...

so here's the deal my buddy has an 05 325xi with auto trans. it has 92k on it, all highway. when driving the transmission will start shifting abruptly to the point the service engine soon light comes...

you would have to be really careless to break those clips....just use a panel tool and they pop right out, very very easy swap.

I've yet to scrape mine, you just have to be careful. although that's why i got them in the first place. keeps my bumper nice. if one get's messed up you spend 60 seconds to remove it, get it painted...
