^If you have genuine wire wheels on your Austin-Healey, why would you hide them by painting them black (and depriving yourself of the "joy" of cleaning them)?
black wheels on a white car are actually a beautiful combination , but definitely not style 135 , they have too many spokes ,and also definitely not on a black soft top
silver all the way
Thanks everyone for the responses! I have been debating between the two for a while now. I agree that silver does look good, but I was thinking with all of the black accents black would look better, but definitely I think silver is the better option. When I do this I am thinking of changing the rear lights to OEM red/white as well. Also, I bought the two silver wheels (rears) and I am planning on running a square setup of rears. Best tire size? I'm thinking 255/35. And for the already black rear wheels I have on the car, what is the best way of getting those back to the OEM silver? Thanks

Silver it is! Now does anyone have any recommendations on how to get the black paint off of the other two wheels? They seem to have been painted not powder coated by the previous owner. Would sandblasting be best? Or would this ruin the finish? Or would sanding then polishing and a clear coat? Any recommendations? Thanks again
Have them media blasted, then powder coated BMW silver. I would interview a few places and tell them what you want and what level of finish. Cleaning and prepping the wheel is exceedingly important to a nice finish.

No hahaha I have the bare rim and I placed them on wood then angled myself so they looked like they were on the car lololol The other two are black and looked to be painted, not powder coated, so I'm wondering how to get them to that same oem color.
Most in NJ are painting their tires, not wheels. Not a day goes by I don't see another E46 without tires painted their body color. It's a great look, don't you think?
