Cause my brake discs looked after two years and only 14tkm like this ones:https://www.google.de/search?q=ate+...&sa=X&ei=_yRPVajsIcWtUZbrgeAB&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg, i decided to make the complete thing new.

I ordered a used brake system on ebay . I gave it to a powder coater . He will coat the brakes silver.

There are the other parts of the brake system which I ordered. This time I did not choose the ATE Ceramic brake pads. The ATE Ceramic seem to be to blame for the marks on the disks.

In addition, I have installed a DISA Repair Kit.

daaamn that's lot of sick torque wrenches right there buddy!

curious why you decided not to do the vanos repair yourself? I have never done the anti-rattle kit, but have done the seals on 3 different cars, it's not too bad as long as you follow the Beisan instructions to a T.

The manufacturer is Proxxon: http://www.proxxon.com/en/industrial/microclick_torque_wrenches.php

and I like how your ice look in your trunk....like how you have your amp tuck where it is.. at lease you can use your trunk not like my car lollll shoes look good to...keep up the fine moding....
bob :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thank you

I just assembled the rear brake. The front I had to give it back to the coater again. It was the wrong color. It was gray and not silver.

:hi: Update

Hi guys. Here are some things, I have changed during the last week.

Mounted the Carbon rear shelf:

New amp wiring:

Mounted a original CSL trunk lid:

I've owned my own car audio and video business before. Amps are more prone to fail due to overheating when mounted like that. My suggestion if you're going to mount in such way is to use some computer exhaust fans mounted in the area between the amp and the read seat. Trying push the airflow towards the back of the car. This is to try and get the heat out from in between the rear deck and the bottom of the amp. Just a suggestion bro.
Your car looks awesome BTW

This is perfect!
Really clean ride, keeps getting cleaner!
Thank you very much

I have same question than before why you dont just took your old vanos unit apart and change seals? Or i dont know how much complete vanos unit was but i think those are quite expensive. Was there some problems with rattling? All M54 vanos units has been quiet what i have saw.
I have paid 290€ for the vanos.
There was no problem with rattling. But I have heard, that it can be possible, that the cylinders of the VANOS can be damaged. Sorry for my bad english.

In the last time i have done some engine maintenance.

Treatment with Toralin Anti Carbon. Did a Liqui Moly engine flush and gave the engine new Liqui Moly 5W-40 oil. Then I installed 6 new NKG ignition coils and NGK spark plugs.
Here I have a some pictures to show the effect of Toralin Anti Carbon ( Toralin ).

In addition, a few things had to be done. I bought a pressure regulating valve in the cold-climate version ( Pressure regulating valve ), a new gasket and valve for the oil filter housing ( Valve / Gasket ), a new suction jet pump and a new alternator.

Here are some pictures.

At the moment I am getting parts to restore the rear axle.
I bought a used rear axle carrier from ebay and let it powder coated. I got the bushings from SuperPro ( Bushings ). All other bushings will be Meyle HD.

I bought the rear wheel protection plates and the exhaust connecting supports and also gave them to my powder coater. As a little info. The original coating of the parts was only 30 - 35 μm thick.
The powder coating now has a thickness of approx. 200 μm. I also bought all the nuts and bolts new.

Received a package from Holland :).

The application of the anti-glare film was a bit difficult.
But with the instructions from dummptyhummpty ( Anti Glare Film ) it went pretty well. Thanks for that dummptyhummpty!

I installed the keypad and the extension for the USB socket in the small compartment on the driver's side

With the latest firmware (00.04.00) the gear indicator of the SMG gearbox now works.
Unfortunately, the DSC error is still present.

Instead of my 9" Xtrons, I installed one with an 8.8" display (PQS8146BL).
