I believe user MarqE46 (?) has the Top Speed Race exhaust on his car along with some RPI scoops, intake, etc. Look up some clips on Youtube; it actually sounds really good for the price they are offering...I believe from Top Speed's website, the exhaust runs around <$500.

Got a similar question. What are the best options for a full performance exhaust for an E46 M3? My car sounds shite and I want to give it a birthday.

to the OP,

try finding a used SS race muffler for sale i have that on my car and it was pretty nice and i liked the way it sounded (i also removed the resonator in my midsection 2 i believe). apart from that go with cat-less headers man and youll have a nice gain as well but it might be a little out of your budget.

Try to find a clean used one for cheaper in the classifieds or Craigslist!

Agency Power..section 1, 2, & 3.
R.E. El Diablo...section 1, 2, & 3.
Super Sprint...section 1, 2, & 3.

My top choices before i went with DINAN. I did a lot of research on them. Performance and sound is all there. They all sound very similar to eachother, very aggressive (LOUD Euro-engine built RUMBLE, if you know what I mean!). In Performance wise, very close as well, pretty much neck to neck. These systems are lookin at 2K to 2.5K for the full raced out system...rasp pipe..mid pipe..and exhaust.

all the exhaust sound terrible without headers, add some cat-less headers and you have one insane sound =)

Meistershaft Ti.... hands down the best sounding exhaust. I had many other types but always traded them out because the sound wasnt right. If you add headers, its game over. Diablo is my second fav....

He said under $1000...which you can find a lightly used AP or RE for that...Meisterschaft? Not so much. Unless you want a beat up one, still over a grand.

I sold my Meistershaft Ti in excellent condition for $1200. The extra $200 is definitely worth it, if you can find one around that price. It's also considered a bling piece since not many members are rolling around with that type of exhaust. You guys purchased M3s... you gotta pay to play

I suppose if one is willing pay extra for a "bling piece" then that is fine. The performance benefits of any of the systems for our M3's doesn't equate to much, so why blow the extra cash except to say you spent X amount on an uber-expensive piece?

Guess the "bling" factor doesn't add up to me when it doesn't add a performance factor as well.

Either way, GL to the OP on finding a good exhaust. Try the classifieds here and M3forum as well...they usually have a few on there at a time.
