Error Code P1449 on 04 325Xi, please help.

Hi,
I keep getting this error code lighting up my check engone light.
P1449 Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage (DM-TL) Pump Too High (BMW)
Car has 15K miles on it, but because of the salvage history dealership refused to work on it under warranty.
Can someone help me plese? What does this code description mean and what do I check, or replace?

im on the same boat as you.. i have a salvaged 2004 325i sulev with 87k mileage on it showing that code..is yours a sulev by any chance ?
