BMW Coolant Specifications are.... ?

Phosphate Free is a given.

But I want to know about Nitrite, Amine, Borate and Silicate. I ask because Motul has two coolant fluids available.

One is Phosphate, Nitrite and Amine Free, while the other is Phosphate, Nitrite, Amine, Borate and Silicate Free.

And no, I am not interested in buying the OEM coolant (probably for the same reasons I don't use BMW's engine oil, brake fluid, tranny fluid and diff fluid).

Thanks.

I am not sure what bmw coolant specs are but I've been using Mercedes Benz coolant in the last 3 years on my '00 328i. The reason, MB coolant is cheaper average $10.00 per gal. off the internet and you can buy it at your local MB expect to pay $12-14 per gal.

I searched and found it to be:

BMW N600 69.0

Problem still is that both Motul Inugel Expert Ultra (Blue) and Motul Inugel Optimal Ultra (orange) are both BMW approved.
