Out of sheer stupidity, I locked my ONE key in the truck of my E46 330i. Wow, what a nightmare. Getting the door unlocked was pretty simple, but getting the trunk open took some major ingenuity. I am so glad I have the cold weather package, or I don't know if I would have ever gotten my key out of the trunk. Fortunatley, there is a small zipper on the ski bag and I was able to put a long rod through to grab ahold of the emergency trunk release.
Sounds easy now, but it sure didn't seem like it at the time.
I have done this a couple times, and now I just leave my drivers rear speaker unscrewed. I don't get any vibrations or buzzing without the screws. I need to get another key, but they're so expensive
I had just finished volunteering for a bbq my son's football team was putting on... A whole group of varsity football players, son included, making fun of me! Nice!
Also, if you dont have the cold weather package with the ski-pass through thing, cant you just pop out the rear seats once you get the rear doors open?
My 323I doesn't have a ski pass but it has a sheet of metal tack welded into a hole where the ski pass is and you can pop the tack welds with a flat head and hammer
