It can work go on bimmerfest.com in the e46 section I think they made that thread about aftermarket wheel sizes, tire sizes, suspension set ups that work together with out rubbing. Btw how will a 20 inch rub guys?! I know many ppl who have em on their cars I'd never do it because of the ride though.
I've never understood why people over use that word. What do you mean by ghetto are 20 inch rims too minority group living all together in 1 area?!?! Make sense my man make sense.
20's???? I think an e46 dropped with 19's looks best. Haven't seen an e46 with 20's that made me ...doesn't mean they aren't out there. Good luck in your search but please stay away from chrome.
I don't know if they will physically fit, or not, but they will be so much larger than stock that the gearing and speedometer calibration will be affected significantly. Significantly.
You will be doing an indicated speed of 70 with an actual ground speed of closer to 75, which should pose obvious problems. The gear ratio will be affected enough that the troque curve will not be useful. Even if the rims can be bolted onto the car, the driving experience will be adversely affected to the point that driving will not be any fun at all.
