My Dealer: Morristown BMW New Jersey

They REFUSED to allow me to read a fairly basic Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 650199). Is is allowed?

Granted my dealer's service dept has always been lousy, but this too much.....

My Car: 1999 328i, purchased New from this dealer.

Here you go.. that antenna amp can also be responsible for clicking and whining sounds, has to be changed out for a newer one. Service bulletin 650299.

I should also add that metallic window films will cut into your AM reception.

Are there newer and/or better Antenna Amplifiers available?

I'd be happy to put some money into a new amp if it would help the AM reception static/noise problem. (And no, I don't have tint or anything added to the windows.)

Here's the new number but probably wont address general static noise, could be a break in the windshield antenna, poor connection at the head unit or elsewhere.

Re: Where are your TSBs from?

Are you guys using the ALLData CDs ?

Or maybe the BMW Factory Repair Manuals on CD ?

I see a few of these BMW CDs for sale on Ebay for around $40, they claim to include the "Service information bulletins".... I'm not sure if that means the TSBs are included.

Example:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1839497479
All Service Bulletins (TSB's) are on the TIS CD.
