M56 SULEV fuel filter replacement question

Curious,
I have 62K on the car now. I know from the Bentley manual, the fuel filter is built into the tank. I assume I would have to drop the gas tank to get to the filter. Has anyone had theirs replaced on a M56 engine? Wondering what amount of $$$$ damage is charged to do this. Also, has anyone with a M56 had engine programming done? From what I have searched from the forum, Dinan programming will not work on a M56 SULEV. Will a shark programmer work with the M56? Thanks all. There is not much info here on this engine so I take what I can when I can get it.

Not sure about SULEV, but my 2004 325CI has MS45.1, ESS managed to update the software when I installed the TS. It seems only US spec 325s post facelift has 45.1 whereas all other spec cars has MS43.

Also note the alternator controlled by MS 45.1 has cylinderal plug similar to Z4 parts whereas the normal MS43 cars has square plug. When you need to find replacement for the regulator it will be come PITA to find! If any one has the correct P/N for this regular, please chime in. thanks!
