Does anyone have a picture of the the Titan Shadow Interior Trim, and a picture of the Aluminum Interior Trim for a E46 M3? I would like to do a comparison of the difference between the two. I am trying to select one for an order I am placing on a Titanium Silver M3. With the Black Nappa leather, of course.

Dude..

Take your Warning sticker off already :lmao: .. j/k.. I say go with the Titan Shadow, it looks sick, and is one of my favorite cosmetic mods.. If you end up not liking it, you can always trade with a fellow Fanatic as this trim is always in demand from us non M3 owners..

Thanks for the pics. I have actually seen the Titan Shadow Trim in person, but I have yet to see the Aluminum. I kind of think the Titan Shadow is too dark for the Black leather, there just isn't enough difference in the color to really make it stand out. So, that is why I want to see if in fact the aluminum is lighter, and if so how much lighter.

Some one post pics of the aluminum.....

M3 steering wheel trim

Don't know if this would have any bearing on your decision but with the M3 Titanium Shadow trim, you get matching Titanium Shadow trim on the steering wheel.

Currently, with the M3 Aluminum trim, the M3 steering wheel trim is just black plastic.

only if you get the automatic ;)

all manual M3's come with black steering wheel trim
Wow, that bites. You'd think they'd pop for the few extra bucks for matching steering wheel trim on the manual instead of making you pay the SMG premium to get it.

Sounds like BMW's way of telling you to get the SMG...

Very cool. I would have to say the aluminum is a go!

I like the Imola Red with it, but that is too much for me, I will stick with the solid black. And honestly, I think I like the black steering wheel trim, it sort of goes with the rest of the dash. But again, I could trade with someone that has the SMG if I found someone willing.

Thanks,
Brian

A word of caution..

When I was ordering my Titanium Shadow trim from my dealer, they mistakenly sent this aluminum (the real deal metal aluminum) the first time around, as there were no official PNs for the Tita Shadow.. The Parts and Service manager asked me if I would like to look into it and I said sure, I'll look at it.. I went to the dealer and checked it out, and I was impressed compared to the regular aluminum (plastic) trim, but she said something interesting.. She said that BMW was having some issues with the metal degrading over time and some other color/cracking issues.. I didn't understand how this could be, but I took her word for it and just sayed with my original plan of Tita Shadow and am extremely happy with it, especially on the Steel Grey Metallic exterior, almost looks color matched..
